Established in 1984, the American Beauceron Club (ABC) is the only Beauceron association in the US recognized by Les Amis du Beauceron (the Friends of the Beauceron), the French Parent Club. Despite the fact that the Beauceron is considered a “rare breed”, the ABC has continued to grow, and the number of Beaucerons has increased annually in this country. Our goal is not only to produce conformationally and mentally sound Beaucerons, but also to keep the breed active in all areas for which it was intended – WORKING.
The ABC sponsors its own National Specialty (Journée du Beauceron) each year with eminent French judges coming to the US for this prestigious event. We also publish The Beauceron Bulletin, which is truly informative for those who are interested in every aspect of the breed.
