Beauceron Rescue...

We currently have 2 dogs in need of a home. Please scroll down to meet them -

Occasionally, through no fault of their own, a few Beaucerons will end up in Rescue. The ABC is committed to making sure these dogs find appropriate, permanent and loving homes.

If you are interested in being considered as an adoptive home for a Beauceron, please fill out our Adoption Application.

We are also occasionally in need of Foster Homes for rescued Beaucerons. Please contact the Rescue Committee for additional information.

BethAnn -

Bethan is a kind and loving dog who will be 4 years old this year – but don’t let her age fool you because she is very playful. She will also sit next to you all day long to be petted.Training is fairly easy as she loves to please. She is quiet and well-behaved in the house. She is very inquisitive,BethAnn especially with small animals. She is good with children, cats and other dogs.Bethan is crate trained and very comfortable in one.

She is good on the leash and does not pull. She will be protective once she has bonded to you, and will stand in front of you if she senses trouble.

Bethan is a wonderful dog and would make a wonderful addition to a family. She has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, a fairly common disorder in dogs, and takes enzymes for it.She needs to stay on a low fat, dry dog food diet. There are many common commercial brands that meet this requirement and are available in stores.

Bethan is unable to do competition sports but she can play, run in the yard, go for walks, and do everything else a companion dog likes to do! She is a sweet girl who needs a forever home.

Benecia -

Benecia is a dog looking to bond with someone. She very much wants to find that special person. She makes the neatest sighing noises. She also wants to follow you and be in the same Beneciaroom with you - not necessarily to be petted, but just to be nearby.

Benecia is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is getting adjusted to wearing a head halter. She loves to romp around outside and play.Benecia likes to have a quiet spot of her own and is crate trained both in the house and in the car.

Benecia is most comfortable when she knows what is expected of her. She needs a person who will be a confident, but gentle, leader. She has no known medical conditions and eats a normal dry dog food.

Larger dogs and farm animals need to be introduced slowly to Benecia as she is not self-confident around them. She cannot do competition sports but she is a great dog who will make a wonderful companion for the right person or family.

Bethan and Benecia are littermates but are not dependent upon each other so may be placed separately or together.
